Dr Rod Jaques, a full time Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine is employed by the English Institute of Sport as their National Medical Director, utilises these facilities conducting his clinics from a dedicated sports injuries suite. He works with a number of professional sports teams and also attended the last four Olympic Games with the Great Britain team. He is Vice President and a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine ( UK). His academic background includes; Fellow of Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine (UK), Diploma Sport and Exercise Medicine, University of London, Diploma Sport and Exercise Medicine Society of Apothecaries, Fellow Institute of Sports Medicine, MRCGP, DRCOG

Winfield Physiotherapy Department, Gloucester has both in and outpatient facilities offering a comprehensive range of treatments. The Chartered Physiotherapists are all registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) and have extensive experience in treating orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions. They aim to provide a complete package of care which combines a full assessment and evaluation of your condition, education and a personalised treatment/exercise plan for your specific requirements to accelerate return to function and sport. The treatment takes place in a well equipped physiotherapy department with a wide range of modern physiotherapeutic and exercise equipment. Hydrotherapy is also available as part of a rehabilitation programme. Treatments are recognised by all major insurance companies and the team offers flexible clinic times.
