The Clinic
Consultations
Your consultation can usually take place at time to suit your personal circumstances. You can contact us directly or through your GP. At the Winfield Hospital, Gloucester, we have onsite parking and the waiting room offers tea and coffee facilities.
Mr Gleeson also sees patients at the Cheltenham Nuffield, and Tetbury Hospital.
The Diagnosis
At the Gloucestershire Knee Clinic we have access to the latest diagnostic tools including MRI scanning, X-ray's, Ultrasound imaging and CT if required.
After your initial consultation our Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons will take the time to fully explain their diagnosis of your knee problem and the possible investigation / treatment options to help you make a fully informed decision about what is best for your knee.
Treatment
At the Gloucestershire Knee Clinic we use key-hole techniques where possible with short hospital stays to facilitate a rapid recovery and a quick return to work/sport. Not all knee problems require surgical solutions and a Sports Injuries Consultant or our team of highly qualified chartered physiotherapists can assess your condition and successfully treat your knee problem.
If surgery is required this will be undertaken at the Winfield Hospital where an extensive £1.5 million refurbishment has recently been completed. There are now three fully equipped theatres, with ultra clean air technology, which are particularly suitable for orthopaedic procedures such as arthroscopy, knee ligament reconstruction and joint replacement. The Winfield Hospital has a first class reputation for delivering high quality care in a clean and friendly environment. The medical and nursing staff will provide you with professional and friendly assistance throughout your stay.
